The School of Medicine is hosting a TEDMED simulcast April 16-19 in the Mary Duke Biddle Trent Semans Center for Health Education on the 4th Floor in the Student Affairs Living Room.
TEDMED is an annual event that features a multi-disciplinary community of innovators and leaders in health and medicine.
Among the TEDMED speakers this year are two Duke Deparement of Medicine faculty members: Amy Abernethy, MD, and Richard Payne, MD.
Dr. Abernethy is associate professor of medicine (Medical Oncology) and director of both the Center for Learning Health Care
and the Duke Cancer Care Research Program. She will present Can patient data have a second life? on Wed, April 17 during Session 2 from 8:30 a.m. to 10:15 a.m.
Dr. Payne is Esther Colliflower Professor of Medicine (Geriatrics) and Divinity. He will present How does it end? on Fri, April 10 during Session 10 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
