Batch receives KL2 Scholar Award

CTSA-badgeBryan Batch, MD, assistant professor of medicine (Endocrinology, Metabolism and Nutrition), was recently awarded one of three KL2 Scholar Award from Duke Translational Medicine Institute. The award offers funding, formal coursework, mentoring and research assistance and is part of the Duke CTSA. Dr. Batch's project, "Targeting Weight Loss Management to Enhance Outcomes in Women Veterans," will adapt a nationally implemented weight loss program called Managing Overweight and/or Obesity for Veterans Everywhere program. "I'm honored and really excited about being given the opportunity to carry out a line of research that I feel passionate about," said Batch, a recent graduate of the DoM Faculty Development Academy.
