A big congratulations goes out to the Chief of General Internal Medicine, L. Ebony Boulware, MD, MPH, for being selected to receive the 2016 SGIM Mid-Career Research and Mentorship Award.
This award is given each year to outstanding mid-career clinician investigators who are actively engaged in research and mentorship of junior investigators.
"The changes that (Dr. Boulware) has been able to make in regard to division communication, celebrating the success of our division members and her general interest in growing all types of leaders (research, clinical and administrative) has had a noticeable effect," says Duke Medical Instructor, Adia Ross, MD, MHA. "I have personally had the opportunity to benefit from her insights and feel so lucky to have her as my division chief."

The award will be formally presented to Dr. Boulware at the 2016 SGIM Annual Meeting on Saturday, May 14 in Hollywood, Florida.
