Congratulations to Carla Brady, MD, associate professor of medicine (Gastroenterology), who was elected to the Nominating Committee during the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases 2017 Liver Meeting.
Dr. Brady was nominated in recognition of her contributions to AASLD through her committee leadership and participation, and was elected by a vote of the membership. "This is a great honor for Carla and important for Duke to be represented among the society leadership," said Andrew Muir, MD, chief of the Division of Gastroenterology.
Faculty, fellows and APPs from Duke GI participated in poster sessions and presentations during this year's Liver Meeting. GI fellows Yuval Patel, MD, and Kara Weggermann, MD, (mentored by Carl Berg, MD) represented the division in the Fellows Debate.
