Celebrating Match Day 2021

The Duke Internal Medicine Residency Program congratulates newly matched medical students today who participated in the 2021 National Resident Matching Program.

The new intern class that will start at Duke in late June will include 46 categorical, 11 preliminary (7 Neurology, 3 Radiology, and 1 Dermatology), 6 Combined Medicine-Pediatrics, and 2 Combined Medicine-Psychiatry.

The categorical interns will come from 33 different institutions, including 6 from Duke. Twenty-three of the categorical interns are female, 23 are male.

"Thank you to our faculty for your support recruiting this outstanding intern class during the internal medicine residency recruitment season and for making Duke the best place to work in the country," said Kathleen Cooney, MD, MACP, Chair of the Department of Medicine.

Please join us in welcoming the 2021 intern class to Duke!
