Internal Medicine residents Wei (Denise) Duan-Porter, MD, PhD and Callie Coombs, MD, were selected to receive 2012 American Society of Hematology Trainee Research Awards.
The Trainee Research Award is intended to provide recipients the opportunity to be exposed to hematology research early in their career. ASH hopes recipients will continue hematological research as part of their future training.
Dr. Duan-Porter is mentored by Brice Weinberg, MD. Dr. Coombs is mentored by Mark Lanasa, MD, PhD, and Daphne Friedman, MD.
