Duke Institute for Health Innovation (DIHI), along with other sponsors from Duke University Main Campus, Duke Health, and PDC, is organizing the 4th annual Duke Health Innovation Jam!
This will be a shark tank-style event on Oct. 4, 2018 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Great Hall at Trent Semans, where Duke innovators, inventors and entrepreneurs will have an opportunity to pitch their ideas to a team of Duke “investors.” All faculty, staff, trainees and students are encouraged to apply. Applications are due Aug. 24 by 5 p.m.
Once again, we are soliciting ideas that are closer to translation into market and/or commercialization.
Suggested themes for idea submissions include, but are not limited to:
- Innovative devices
- Novel use of analytics
- Digital health/mHealth
We anticipate selecting up to six finalists from our total pool of applicants to present their health innovations. Each innovator will have 5 minutes to pitch their idea to a panel of investors and evaluators, followed by a brief question and answer period.
More details, including link to the application, can be found on the DIHI website. For more information, please contact Krista Whalen, krista.whalen@duke.edu.
