Dr. Fatima Syed, assistant professor of medicine, takes over for Dr. Bruce Peyser as associate director of the Primary Care Leadership Track for medical students interested in primary care through longitudinal clinical experiences as well as community engagement.
In her new role, she is focusing especially on advancing equity, patient advocacy, and student mentorship. Several GIM faculty members already serve as PCLT preceptors, and she helps support them in these roles.
