Duke Medicine and Endurance Magazine are bringing North Carolina's first women's half marathon to Durham on Sun., Oct. 16, 2011 with the inaugural Duke Medicine Ramblin' Rose Women's Half Marathon.
This event was created to promote the empowerment of women, and to spotlight Ramblin' Rose events that are designed to inspire, support, and propel women of all ages and athletic abilities.
This event is expected to draw 4,000 runners. The course begins and ends at the American Tobacco complex and winds through downtown Durham, the Duke University campus, and Trinity Park and Forest Hills neighborhoods.
