Three Durham VA Medical Center and Duke faculty were recently recognized with awards at the annual VHA Renal Field Meeting:
Patrick Pun, MD, MHS, assistant professor of medicine (Nephrology), was awarded the Great Seal of DOD for assisting in the creation of the Outpatient Hemodialysis Coding Guidelines.
Wissam Kourany, MD, was awarded the U.S. Navy Award for the exceptional leadership he has provided the free standing dialysis clinics and his efforts in developing CKD informatics.
Valerie Kubacki, PA, received the U.S. Air Force Award for her efforts including Outpatient Hemodialysis Coding Guidelines, Free Standing Dialysis Clinic Workgroup, Free Care IPT, and DSC contributions.
