The Rita Allen Foundation Scholars Program seeks to support young investigators who show promise of becoming leaders in research in the cure and treatment of diseases in the fields of cancer, immunology and neuroscience.
The Foundation reviews grant proposals by invitation only. Duke University School of Medicine has been invited to submit one nomination.

Requirements
Candidates must have completed training and provided persuasive evidence of distinguished achievement or extraordinary promise in research in one of the relevant fields. Candidates should have been on a tenure track for no more than three years. The foundation's support will be reconsidered if a Rita Allen Scholar is awarded tenure.

Award Amount
Individuals chosen will be designated Rita Allen Foundation Scholars and the affiliated institution will receive financial support from the Rita Allen Foundation of up to $100,000 annually, for a period of up to five years.
