Internal Medicine Resident Meredith Edwards, MD, PGY-1 sent this message to the runners, walkers, cheerleaders, sponsors, and friends who supported the inaugural Stead Tread 5K run.
Now that our checks are in and our official donation to the Lincoln Community Health Center has been made, we wanted to send out an enormous THANK YOU for making our First Annual Stead Tread a success! With the help of you guys and our seven local sponsors, we were able to donate more than $2500 to the Lincoln Clinic!
We had more than 110 participants sign up, and a very good actual race day turnout as well, especially given the rain! A good number of residents and attendings registered despite knowing they would be working in the hospital on April 22, and we thank you for your donation as well.
