Internal application process is now open for Executive Leadership in Academic Medicine Program for Women

The internal application process is now open for the Hedwig van Ameringen Executive Leadership in Academic Medicine® (ELAM®) Program for Women, the nation's only in-depth program focused on preparing senior women faculty at schools of medicine, dentistry and public health for institutional leadership positions where they can effect positive change.

Women faculty who are at the rank of associate professor or higher are eligible to apply. Both MD and PhD faculty are eligible to apply. This is an excellent, well-established 1-year fellowship that prepares senior faculty to take on leadership roles in academic medicine, dentistry and public health.

Participation in the program takes significant personal and institutional commitment, which must be demonstrated during the application process. Potential applicants are encouraged to discuss the program with their Chair, and to communicate with my office early about plans to apply (ann.brown@duke.edu or 684-4139).

There will be an internal selection process as institutions are limited in the number of applications that can be submitted. If you would like to be considered, please submit a letter of intent and biosketch/CV to facdev@dm.duke.edu no later than 5 p.m. on Monday, October 9, 2017.
