From the Director

What a great kickoff week – welcome to our newest class! This is such an awesome time of year! Many thanks to our incredible team of Lynsey, Tia, Emily, Kerri and Ernest for having everything run so smoothly, and to our APDs Dave, Bill, Joel, Dani and Murat as well as our chiefs Jenny, Kara, Winn and John Paul for their amazing leadership already. A final congratulations to our graduating SARs!!

Kudos

Kudos this week go to Jason Zhu, Dinushika Mohottige, and Marc Samsky for co-winning the Joseph McClellan Award. More kudos to Matt McCulloch from Brian Schneider for being an amazing team player at the VA, to Sarah Norton from Joe Lerman for taking great care of sick patient in the VA MICU, and to Kyle Geurink from Dinushika and Dani for going out of his way for a DOC patient. Kudos to Danielle Howard from Elieth Martinez for being an awesome team leader and having excellent bedside manners on DRH GenMed. And of course a big kudos to Chris Pumill for putting his life on the line for the Tom Holland Memorial Lecture. Belated kudos from Mike Grant to Qasim Hussaini and Godefroy Chery for their excellent work on VA Gen Med.

Our new curriculum website is getting up and running. Huge thank you to Murat Arcasoy and Kerri Shore for all the behind the scenes work to make this happen. Look for an email from me explaining the details. We are super excited about this awesome resource – many thanks to our education leads for getting information to us in a timely manner. The website will be updated throughout the year, so keep checking it out!
