Chief Takeover of Residency News - Round 2

The boss is away for vacation this week, so the Chiefs get the opportunity to pass out the kudos and hype to the program yet again. We can’t believe it’s March already, and believe it or not we will have a new intern class THIS FRIDAY FOR MATCH DAY!! Current interns get hype because you are only a few months away from handing the baton (aka pager) over to the new group. How will you celebrate?? Be sure to tune in to Dr. Zaas’ special Match Day Medicine Grand Rounds this week at 8 am on 3/18!

Some other exciting events this week. Today is Pi Day and while we are not having another pie eating contest, you can still enjoy endless amounts of pi(e) on your own! (*dad joke alert*)

DUKE IT OUT  - This Thursday 3/17 @ 12pm - The 2nd annual DUKE IT OUT teaching competition. Hosted by the one and only, current DUH ACR and future DRH/Ambulatory Chief Resident Dr. Ann Cameron Barr! To Hannah Florian for arranging DOC’s mobile lab visits while on a busy VA CCU service and bringing high energy on call from Alex Cho. Kudos to Maxine Chan for crushing cost effectiveness and teaching us all at JAR CAT from Mike Cosiano. To Sunny Chung and Felicia Cao for catching a posterior STEMI at the VA and getting them the appropriate care from future chief Lonnie Sullivan.
