A Year for the Record Books
Sending out a huge thank you to the clinical leads, Lynn Bowlby, Jeff Clough, Sonal Patel, and Leigh Wynkoop for all the work they have done over the past year navigating uncertainty, adapting to change, and keeping our patients and trainees safe throughout the pandemic.
Ambulatory Threads and Academic Half Day
Another huge shout out goes to all of the Education Leads who have been working hard to keep the Academic Half Day teaching going during the pandemic. From the Residency Office
2022-23 Chief Resident for Quality and Safety (CRQS)
This position is open to those who would be either PGY-4s or PGY-5s during that year (you can consider applying if you are either a current JAR or SAR). If you are a SAR, you should check with your fellowship program director (if applicable) to make sure they are willing to release you for the year to join us. For those interested, the next step is to contact Govind Krishnan or Joel Boggan to express interest and learn a bit more about the position. We will schedule face to face (zoom to zoom?) meetings and informational sessions so that you can learn more in the next few weeks.

All trainees at Duke have FREE access to Personal Assistance Services (PAS), which is the faculty/employee assistance program of Duke University. The staff of licensed professionals offer confidential assessment, short-term counseling, and referrals to help resolve a range of personal, work, and family problems. PAS services are available free of charge to Duke faculty and staff, and their immediate family members. An appointment to meet with a PAS counselor may be arranged by calling the PAS office at 919-416-1PAS (919-416-1727), Monday through Friday between 8:00 A.M. and 5:00 P.M. For assistance after hours, residents and fellows can call the Blood and Body Fluid Hotline (115 inside DUH, 919-684-1115 outside) for referral to behavioral health resources.
