DAISY award winner Carmen HurstPRIME continues to expand our face-to-face offerings for gap as well as routine return visits, with ongoing telehealth presence. This gives an opportunity for us to reconnect in person with the upper-level residents as well as to get you more connected with your patients.

Happy to report that PRIME/Hillandale and all of DVAHCS did quite well on our recent Joint Commission inspection!

Durham VA is participating in Janssen COVID-19 vaccine trial, open to employees and interested Veterans. Reach out if you have a patient who expresses interest.

Happy Veterans Day to our Veteran staff in PRIME: Michelle Dunlap, Charlie Sessoms, Rose Moss, Tina Dempsey, Scott Thomas.

Huge congrats to RN Carmen Hurst who won the facility-wide DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses for this quarter! Carmen had 3 nominations this quarter – and this wasn’t the first time she’d been nominated. We all know how terrific a nurse she is; now everyone knows it. Huzzah!

Everyone please stay safe, now and over the coming holidays.
