This week Virginia Wang, PhD, accepted an invitation to be on the editorial board of Health Care Management Review. Dr. Wang is a GIM investigator in Health Services Research & Development. She is the PI of an NIH grant (RO1) through 2018 titled “Cascading Impacts of Bundled Payment on Peritoneal Dialysis Provision & Outcomes.” Her publications reflect considerable experience with health services research, evaluation of quality and continuity of primary care, and comparative effectiveness research.
According the journal, their focus is:"Multidisciplinary and international in scope, articles present completed research relevant to health care management, leadership, and administration, as well report on rigorous evaluations of health care management innovations…"
This has particular value for GIM because the journal’s focus is theoretically driven research that informs healthcare management practice and research, i.e., implementation science. Congratulations to Dr. Wang.
