Kraus to serve as president-elect of the American College of Sports Medicine

Bill Kraus, MD, professor of medicine (Cardiology), nursing and the Richard and Pat Johnson University Professor, has been selected to serve as President-Elect of the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) for 2018-19. Dr. Kraus will then serve as President of the ACSM for a year beginning in June 2019.

Founded in 1954, the ACSM is the largest sports medicine and exercise science organization in the world; the membership seeks to promote and integrate scientific research, education, and practical applications of sports medicine and exercise science directed at maintaining and enhancing physical performance, fitness, health, and quality of life.
