Lillian Lien, MD, associate professor of medicine (Endocrinology, Metabolism and Nutrition) and medical director of Duke Inpatient Diabetes Management, has been appointed Professor of Medicine and Division Chief of Endocrinology at the University of Mississippi Medical Center.
In addition to leading a clinical division and building its research capacity, she will be involved in telehealth initiatives addressing glycemic control at hospitals throughout the state of Mississippi.
Dr. Lien earned her MD from the Duke University School of Medicine, and stayed on for internship, residency and faculty positions.
