Med/Peds Fellows Research Conference to feature fellows' work in progress, senior faculty on science & career development
By ajz6@dhe.duke.edu
The Pediatric Fellows Research Conference has a new format this year. In collaboration with the Department of Medicine, it's now a combined Pediatrics and Medicine Fellows Research and Career Development Conference for six months of the year.
Under this new conference, sessions include one pediatric and one medicine subspecialty fellow each presenting their work in progress for a half hour each, then a senior faculty member presenting on a topic related to science and career development (mentoring, running a lab, leadership, various career paths, etc).
This special conference will be held once a month, from October through March, in the Searle Center from 4 – 5:30pm (see schedule below).
During the remaining months, the Pediatrics fellowship program will continue to hold its routine Fellows Research Conference with two pediatric subspecialty fellows presenting in the Duke Hospital conference rooms, from 3 – 4pm.
All Medicine fellows are encouraged to attend the conference.
