New internal funding opportunity

Before leaving to head the Institute of Medicine, former Chancellor Victor J. Dzau approved a two-year pilot of a new internal funding opportunity to provide financial support to research teams at the Schools of Medicine and Nursing who are developing collaborative research programs. In this pilot phase, the new program is limited to teams intending to submit to currently active National Institutes of Health (NIH) P01, P50, U19, and/or U54 funding opportunities. A Question and Answer session about this program will be held on Mon., Sept. 8, 3:30 – 4:30 p.m., in Room 114, Chancellor’s Suite, Green Zone Duke South. This will be led by Joanna Downer, Director of Research Development for the School of Medicine and long-time manager of the Science Council.
