Edward G. Buckley, MD, vice dean for education, sent the following message to Duke University School of Medicine faculty:
The Alpha Omega Alpha honor medical society elects a resident each year who exemplifies the qualities of scholastic performance, potential for leadership, fairness in dealing with colleagues, compassion for others, integrity of character and service to the school and community at large. As you know, membership in AOA is a distinction that accompanies a physician throughout his or her career.
It is that time of the year again to nominate a resident who you feel should be considered for election into AOA. For the nominee you select, please send a letter of support and a copy of the nominee's CV to Theresa Harris at theresa.harris@dm.duke.edu or fax the documentation to 919-681-8911 by noon on Friday, March 22.
