An interdisciplinary course at Duke designed for health professions students and currently practicing providers is being offered online this summer (registration deadline is May 15) and on campus this fall. Co-sponsored by the Duke University School of Nursing and the Duke Center for Personalized Medicine, the course N562: Trends in Genetics & Genomics in Health Care & Society, provides a foundation in genetics and genomics and explores their impact on health care and society.
Learning experiences include an analysis of actual genomic test results and a review of case studies. Faculty, post-docs, and currently practicing health care providers may audit the course. Contact Dr. Jennifer Dungan at jennifer.dungan@duke.edu if you are interested in registering for or auditing the course.
