Research Conference 2/22/13: Biomarkers, preclinical modeling in colorectal cancer

The Medicine Research Conference returns Fri., Feb. 22 at 12 p.m. in Duke Hospital 2002 with a presentation by David Hsu, MD, PhD, assistant professor of medicine (Medical Oncology) and William Dalton Family Assistant Professor of Cancer Genomics. Dr. Hsu will present Biomarker Development and Preclinical Modeling in Colorectal Cancer Hsu's research focuses on the application of high-throughput technologies including microarrays to match the individual patient with the most optimal therapy to improve clinical outcomes in patients with metastatic colorectal cancer. Hsu said his talk will show how his laboratory takes tumor samples and performs gene expression profiling to understand the biology of colorectal cancer. Lunch will be provided. Presentation begins promptly at noon.
