The Medicine Research Conference returns Fri., April 26 at 12 p.m. in Duke Hospital 2002 with a presentation by Diego Bohórquez, PhD, post-doctoral fellow (Gastroenterology).
Dr. Bohórquez will present Gut-brain neurocircuit unveiled.
Bohórquez is a young scientist in the fast growing field of neurogastroenterology. His expertise lies on the sensory mechanisms by which food in our gut triggers the perception of satiety in our brain. This knowledge is highly relevant for the following human and animal health areas: gastrointestinal health, metabolic and eating disorders, obesity.
Lunch will be provided. Presentation begins promptly at noon.
