Earlier this week, Mary Klotman, MD, chair of the Department of Medicine, shared with faculty, staff and trainees that Judy Evans, administrative coordinator in the Department of Medicine Office of Research Administration, has passed away.

It is with great sadness that I write to inform you of the untimely passing of Judy Evans, administrative coordinator in the Department of Medicine Office of Research Administration, this morning.
Judy started working at Duke University in 1994, and came to the Department of Medicine in 2007 to manage our space. I know many of you interacted with Judy as she made the rounds of the Department’s widespread lab and office space. Judy was a valued member of our team, and she will be greatly missed by us all.
A memorial service will be held Friday, April 15 at 2 p.m. at Brooks & White Chapel in Roxboro, NC. The family will receive friends following the service.
