Evan Sadler, MD, PhD, director of the Division of Hematology and Ira M. Lang Professor of Medicine at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, visited the Division of Hematology earlier this month to deliver the second annual William H. Kane Hematology Lecture.
Dr. Sadler's presentation, "von Willebrand factor, ADAMTS13 and thrombotic microangiopathy," was delivered during Medicine Grand Rounds on Fri., Oct. 7.
The William H. Kane Hematology Lecture was established to celebrate the legacy of our beloved colleague, Dr. William H. Kane (1955-2012). Dr. Kane was a passionate scientist, dedicated clinician and esteemed teacher. The lectureship is designed to expose Duke Internal Medicine house staff to nationally recognized hematologists who are involved in clinical or basic scientific investigation.
