Save the date 10/14/13: Basic Science Day

The School of Medicine's fourth annual Basic Science Day will take place on Mon., Oct. 14 in the Great Hall of the Trent Semans Center with the goal of bringing together faculty and students/trainees to celebrate basic research and to encourage collaborations. In addition to a poster display and speakers throughout the day, Basic Science Day will feature two keynote speakers: Donald McDonnell, PhD, chair of the Department of Pharmacology and Cancer Biology, who will present "Eating our way to a cancer diagnosis: The role of cholesterol and its metabolites in cancer pathology." Robert Lefkowitz, MD, professor of medicine (Cardiology), will present "A funny thing happened on the way to Stockholm." Registration is required.
