The Thrombosis and Hemostasis Disorders Consortium will host a research conference from 9:30-10:30 a.m. on Weds., Nov. 20, in Duke North Room 2003.
Bruce Furie, MD, professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School and chief of the Division of Hemostasis-Thrombosis at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, will be the featured speaker. Dr. Furie will present "How Blood Clots and Why It Sometimes Doesn't - Thiol isomerases: Their role in thrombus formation and as targets for antithrombotic therapy."
There will also be a small group discussion held from 12-1:15 p.m. in MSRBII Room 1154. Lunch will be provided. Space is limited, so please register.
