Save the date: 2013 events to commemorate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

To celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Duke University Hospital will offer several events to honor members of our team who are using their lives to make a difference in our local, national and global communities and who support our value of diversity. Below are a few highlights from the line up. Visit Duke University Hospital intranet, for a full schedule and please note that some events require advance registration by Jan. 3. Lecture by Antwone Fisher, Fri., Jan. 11 from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Searle Center Lecture Hall. Registration is required (see below); the course registration number is EDS778. Lunch will be served. Lecture by David Satcher, MD, PhD, former U.S. Surgeon General, Thurs., Jan. 24 at 1 p.m. Christine Siegler Pearson Building. Dr. Satcher's keynote address, "Defining the Path to Global Health Equity,"  will illustrate examples of major strategies and programs that are improving science, policy and practice around the world.
