The Division of Cardiology is hosting the 2013 Cardiovascular Symposium Tues., May 14 in Searle Lecture Hall. The event is free and provides 8.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits, and it is the one event during the year when all the groups and subdivisions in Cardiology gather to hear the best and most interesting research happening throughout the division, from clinical to imaging to translational to basic.
The CME-sponsored event will include keynote addresses by Elizabeth McNally, MD, PhD, professor of medicine and human genetics and director of the Institute for Cardiovascular Research at the University of Chicago School of Medicine, and O.H. "Bud" Frazier, MD, chief of Cardiopulmonary Transplantation and director of Cardiovascular Surgery Research at the Texas Heart Institute.
Duke faculty will give talks on topics such as heart failure, metabolism and hypertension and vascular biology and electrophysiology. To reserve a seat and to receive lunch, register by April 30.
