Dean Nancy Andrews, MD, PhD, along with Theodore Pappas, MD, vice dean for medical affairs, and Mark Stacy, MD, vice Dean for clinical research, sent the following save-the-date message to the faculty this week. Please mark your calendar and save the date of Sat., March 3, 2012, for our first annual celebration of clinical science at Duke University School of Medicine. This exciting, half-day event, which is modeled after our highly successful Basic Science Day, will be a wonderful opportunity to learn about the scope and breadth of clinical research taking place across the medical campus. There will be opportunities to engage in brief discussions following each presentation. The day will begin with breakfast and conclude at 1 p.m. It will be held at Bay 7 on the American Tobacco Campus. You will be able to browse the poster session and converse with colleagues before, during and after the program. The event will conclude with a judging session at which prizes will be awarded for the best presentation and poster. More information, and details will be available shortly. In the meantime, please mark the date on your calendar and plan to attend. UPDATE 2/1/2012 - agenda posted below [scribd id=80144008 key=key-1w7xzavu28tgoifh354i mode=list]
