Shah promoted to Assistant Professor

We are pleased to announce another faculty member was recently promoted to Assistant Professor in the Division of General Internal Medicine (GIM), effective June 1, 2019.

Kevin Shah, MD, MBA

Dr. Shah has been at Duke since his internal medicine residency, where he also completed the Management and Leadership Pathway for residents.  After his house staff training, he joined GIM faculty and became Medical Director for Innovation and Improvement at Duke Primary Care. He was promoted to Associate Chief Medical Officer of Innovation and Improvement in 2018.  Dr. Shah has demonstrated strengths as a physician leader, clear expertise in quality improvement and clinical operations, and outstanding mentorship and teaching abilities.  We are extremely fortunate to have him as a faculty member and leader in General Internal Medicine, Duke Primary Care and more broadly across the Duke enterprise.
