"Our hope for this program is to offer residents and fellows a faster and more convenient alternative to primary care services," says Shah. "Simultaneously this grant will allow us to develop the IT, Clinical and management infrastructure for electronic visits within a primary care setting. - Build a comprehensive understanding about how to develop and scale this model to other populations in a large primary care setting
INNOVATION:
The GME Trainee Primary Care E Visit Program will be a novel effort to improve GME trainee access to primary care leveraging an innovative care delivery model. The program will address a real need for Duke trainees and help Duke Health develop scalable E Visit capabilities.
