Stanifer among new class for Duke Global Health Residency/Fellowship Pathway

John Stanifer, MD, internal medicine resident, is one of six new trainees in the Duke Global Health Residency/Fellowship Pathway.
Before his medical training at the University of Tennessee, Stanifer worked in Peru and Brazil fueling his ambitions to serve the underserved locally and globally.
He is interested in understanding the burden of chronic, non-communicable diseases in sub-Saharan Africa. While in the program, Stanifer plans to study the epidemiology of chronic kidney disease in the Kilimanjaro region of Tanzania.
