Enrollment is now open for the Office for Faculty Mentoring's two grant writing programs, which prepare investigators for June 2014 NIH submission deadlines. The courses will take place from Feb. 3-June 12, 2014. Learn more here.

If you are working on an NIH RPG (R01, R21, R03) enroll in the Path to Independence Program. For Career Development Awards, enroll in the K Club. Mark Dewhirst, DVM, PhD, FASTRO, FAAAS, associate dean for Faculty Mentoring, Gustavo S. Montana Professor of Radiation Oncology and Professor of Biomedical Engineering and Pathology, will give a lecture on Mon., Feb. 3 from 9-10:30 a.m., "Grant Preparation: Keys to Being Collaborative," in Duke North, Room 2003. Dr. Dewhirst will discuss how to competitively apply for NIH R01 grants. This session is designed to kick off the grant writing courses, but it is open to all junior faculty members and postdocs who are interested in learning more about the grant writing process.
