The Department of Medicine will present another staging of Voices of Medicine, a live show featuring true stories from our faculty, trainees, and staff, on February 28, 2018.
The theme of this show is humility.

Voices of Medicine is a collaboration between the Department of Medicine and The Monti, a local storytelling organization. We gather together to hear true stories from health care professionals sharing the experiences that inspired them to a life in medicine, or the interactions that give meaning to their careers in science and health.

Got a good story that relates to the theme Humility?
Duke faculty, trainees, students, and staff (medicine, nursing, and others) are invited to make a story pitch. We’ll select five storytellers, and Jeff Polish, executive director of the Monti, will help you hone your story to an 8-minute gem that you will tell on stage in front of a live audience.

This Voices of Medicine show is part of the Duke Narrative Medicine Colloquium, a year-long exploration of the activities and programs at Duke University that give faculty, caregivers, students, and others the opportunity to reflect on their lives through stories.
