Voicemail-to-email service now available

By etm18@dhe.duke.edu
Duke faculty and staff now have the option of receiving voicemail messages via their Duke email. Users who request voicemail-to-email service will receive voicemail messages as an attachment (.WAV file) in an email to their Duke email address. Users can choose among three options for the service:
  • Email only: The system will send an email to your Duke email address with the voicemail message as an attachment (.WAV file). No copy is retained in your voicemail box.
  • Dual voicemail/email: The system will store the message in your voicemail box and will send an email to your Duke email address with the voicemail message as an attachment (.WAV file). You will need to delete messages from your email account and the dial-in voicemail inbox.
  • Integrated voicemail/email: The system will store the message in your voicemail box and will send an email to your campus Duke Exchange email address with the voicemail message as an attachment (.WAV file). Deleting a message from your Exchange mailbox will delete it in your voicemail account, and vice versa. (Note: This option is only available for Duke Exchange mailbox users in the campus and health system).
Users can request voicemail-to-email service using an online form.  Requests will be processed within three business days. More information about the service is available on the OIT website as well as additional information about the voicemail system.
