New Faculty Orientation on Tues., Sept. 27 from 7:45 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Searle Center – this session is designed to give an overview of research, education and career development topics. The day also includes sessions on the appointments, promotion and tenure process at Duke. Faculty in attendance will have a chance to meet and interact with school leaders. Faculty Welcome Reception on Wed., Oct. 19 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the Sarah P. Duke Gardens Doris Duke Center – a relaxed evening with wine and hors d’oeuvres as networking with colleagues in the Schools of Medicine and Nursing. All faculty are welcome, but this event is especially geared toward those hired in the past four years. Register here.
