Zaas adds PDC, DUHS roles

David Zaas, MD, MBA, assistant professor of medicine (Pulmonary, Allergy & Critical Care Medicine) and vice chair for clinical practice, has taken on the role of chief medical officer of the Private Diagnostic Clinic. As CMO, he will work with department chairs and vice chairs and be responsible for the clinical operations of the practice including practice redesign. And, with the departure of Michael Cuffe, MD, MBA – who served as vice president for ambulatory services and chief medical officer of Duke University Health System – Victor J. Dzau, MD, chancellor for health affairs and CEO of DUHS, and William J. Fulkerson, Jr., MD, executive vice president of DUHS, have asked Dr. Zaas to oversee ambulatory specialty clinics for Duke Medicine.
