Fellow Perspective
What are your career goals?
I aspire to be a compassionate physician and patient advocate. My focus will be on treating patients with chronic and end-stage kidney disease. My goal is to pursue a career in academic nephrology.
What were you looking for in a fellowship program?
I was looking for a program that provided exposure to many different aspects of nephrology. I was interested in a program that would further enhance my POCUS skills. I also was looking for a program that would help me become a skilled clinician educator.
Which Scholar pathway will you choose and why?
I plan to choose the Clinical Concentration Pathway and pursue further education in Home Suitable Dialysis. I hope to further enhance my teaching skills by enrolling in the Society for Early Education Scholars (SEEDS) program.
What are the strengths of the Duke program?
Duke has many wonderful opportunities for fellows to flourish as physicians. The program has a strong academic background for clinical and laboratory sciences. I am looking forward to learning from the many wonderful nephrologists in the Duke community.
