What are your career goals?
As a Med/Peds physician, I am interested in caring for patients with chronic kidney conditions who are outgrowing pediatric nephrology and need an adult nephrologist. I hope to be involved in teaching residents and medical students as well.
What were you looking for in a fellowship program?
I wanted to train somewhere with diverse pathology and exposure to all the subspecialties of nephrology. Additionally, I sought a program that cultivated a supportive environment with mentors that are passionate about teaching.
Which Scholar pathway will you choose and why?
I will choose the clinical concentration pathway as I really enjoy the clinical aspect of medicine and teaching. I’m also hoping to participate in the Society for Early Education Scholars (SEEDS) program.
What are the strengths of the Duke program?
The faculty and fellows at Duke are the main strength of the program. Everyone is supportive, fun to be around, always there to help, and eager to teach.
