Reasons I chose Duke:

  • It truly is a special place. It did not take long on interview day to get a sense of how much pride the fellows and faculty had in each other and the program as a whole.
  • The program culture emphasizes collegiality and fellow satisfaction. You feel a part of one big happy family, where you can be yourself and enjoy the adventure of fellowship with colleagues that quickly become friends.
  • Our division faculty really love what they do. The program leadership and attendings are not only accomplished, but so supportive and approachable. Having gifted educators who value the academic side of our training makes a big difference… and also means clinical pearls galore!
  • Duke University Medical Center is an outstanding campus, and in becoming a Duke Endocrine fellow, you join an institution so uniquely positioned to help meet your aspirations no matter where your interests lie.

Career Goals:

  • To be a passionate clinical endocrinologist and educator, to deliver meaningful care to patients, and to make a difference in my community.

About Life in Durham:

What is the best thing about living in Durham?

  • Lots of hospitality, hardly any traffic! And the natural beauty is striking.

What are your interests outside of medicine?

  • Reading, cheering on my all Boston sports teams, spending time with my wife (and 2 cats)
