Currently, I'm working on becoming the best internist that I can be and then applying for a fellowship in Gastroenterology.

Reflections on the Duke Program

What were you looking for in a residency program?
I was looking for a program with a strong background in resident education and clinical training, with a diverse and close-knit community of residents and faculty.

What are the strengths of the Duke Program?
There's a great amount of clinical training with supervised autonomy very early into the residency program. Additionally, the program is very diverse and it is easy to find people with similar interests, which makes life away from the hospital very enjoyable.

Tell us about your co-residents. What has helped you connect, support each other, and form friendships?
I love the group of co-residents in our cohort, it was easy connecting with people right from the beginning due to our shared interests and there have been ample opportunities to interact away from work.

What are your interests outside of medicine?
Outside of medicine, I love to spend my time watching movies and soccer. It's great having a community of residents who enjoy playing soccer as much as I do.
