Fellow Perspective
What are your career plans in cardiology?
General/Interventional Cardiology.
Why did you choose Duke for your cardiology fellowship training?
I chose Duke for its outstanding clinical training with a high-volume, diverse patient population. The opportunity to learn from leaders across every cardiology subspecialty made it the ideal place to train.
What advice might you offer residents looking at fellowship programs?
Choose a program that will expose you to the full spectrum of cardiology, support your career goals, and prepare you for your future practice. Just as importantly, pay attention to the culture, finding the right fit is just as important as the quality of training.
What do you enjoy doing in the Triangle area outside of work?
The Triangle is a great place to live, with a reasonable cost of living and plenty to do outside of work. I enjoy exploring the local dining scene, spending time in the parks, and taking advantage of the area's many cultural events and museums.
