What were you looking for in a residency program?
Excellent clinical training and research opportunities. Duke had both which made coming here an easy decision!

The incredibly supportive environment. You get the feeling that everyone - from program leadership to your fellow interns - wants you to succeed.
What are your observations about the relationships between faculty and house staff?
Faculty love to teach and mentor house staff.
Tell us about your co-interns. What has helped you connect, support each other, and form friendships?
We are a large class so there is a great diversity of interests and always someone up for hanging out. What has been unifying from day one is the feeling that we are all in this together. My co-interns have already been a great source of support.
What has surprised you most about Duke?
How genuinely nice people are!

Thomson Ridge, for its proximity to the hospital and walking trails.

Being active, music, movies, and science!
