Reasons I chose Duke:
- I was instantly impressed with the numerous scholarly opportunities in research, medical education, quality improvement, health advocacy, and the list goes on!
- At Duke, I have the opportunity to work with experts in the field in a wide variety of subspecialties of endocrine, while also developing the necessary skills to become a well-rounded endocrinologist
- I think that what most defines the fellowship experience is not necessarily the resources or the reputation, it’s the type of people you work with day to day. Even during my virtual interview, I immediately appreciated Duke’s exceptional, collegial, and diverse group of fellows!
Happy surprises:
- The Duke Campus and Gardens are beautiful. I can’t wait to explore every inch of them.
- There is such a diverse population here. It is truly a melting pot!
- There is something here for everyone, whether you like adventures outdoors (beaches, mountains, trails) or enjoy a good time indoors (concerts, museums, sports).
- The people in Endocrinology – there is a ‘culture’ here that is palpable. We are truly a family at Duke!
