Career Goals: I hope to be involved in Medical Education at an academic center, but I am not quite sure which specialty I will pursue yet. Ultimately, my goal is to provide excellent patient care to those in my community. I chose to pursue internal medicine because of its unique combination of intellectual challenge, long-term patient relationships, and the breadth of clinical exposure in the inpatient and outpatient settings. I also really value the constant exchange of knowledge and medical education that is integral to internal medicine.

Why Duke? I wanted to be in a place with rigorous training and a supportive community. Also, I really wanted to stay in North Carolina! Duke felt like a place where I could grow, both clinically and personally, surrounded by people who are thoughtful, compassionate, and driven.
