DGIM Educator Café Recap

Share

Duke General Internal Medicine's quarterly Educator Café kicked off last Friday and reviewed a work in progress presented by Adam Tosh, MD. The group discussed the resident evidence-based medicine curriculum and the dilemma of managing multiple learning levels in the room during an interactive teaching session.

These meetings are casual roundtable discussions with lunch provided. The focus is on topics such as scholarship, teaching, promotion, and career planning. The group also shares their successes and areas in which they may be struggling as educators and get feedback from others to overcome barriers.

The next GIM Educator Café will be held on Friday, June 9 at noon in the new GIM Building (710 W. Main Street). We highly encourage in-person attendance to foster a community of networking and collaboration, but a Zoom meeting link will be provided for those attending virtually. An invitation will be coming to all GIM faculty inboxes soon.

Who Is This For?

These quarterly meetings are for all educators in the GIM division, whether inpatient or outpatient, brand new to Duke or many decades in. Faculty are invited to bring projects and topics to this community for discussion and feedback.
